Bat For Lashes (who we like a lot) but, cliché or otherwise, we're here for the support band. Or, in this case, support bands. Plural.
Liverpool band
Wave Machines have created some of the finest pop music this year has heard, slightly twisted lyrics soaring over disco bass and classic synth textures. New York band
Violens are hotly tipped to be one of the Next Big Things Out Of Brooklyn, with their sunshine-pop-with-a-twist style and their
MGMT remix. Last but definitely not least:
Bad Lieutenant, who are New Order but without Peter Hook. Nuff said.
