A bit on the pricey side, but this is sure to be a captivating evening in the presence of multi-instumentalist
Andrew Bird. Surrounded by music from childhood, Bird's interest in folk music was sparked from an early age - the influence of English and Irish folk traditions remains clear in his work. Live, Bird's wide range of instrumental skills comes to the fore - with the help of realtime sampling technology (you know, one of those pedally things that loops stuff) he layers up textures of violin, guitar, glockenspiel, vocals and his famously accomplished whistling.
