The Wooster Group

Vieux Carré by Tennessee Williams.

The Wooster Group, an experimental theatre company founded in the 1970s, is a true pioneer of contemporary writing for the theatre, based on an original use of technologies of sound and image. The play Vieux Carré (Old Square) recasts a Tennessee Williams text: an autobiographical play in which the American playwright recalls his youthful years. The films of [Paul Morrissey, produced in collaboration with Andy Warhol at the beginning of the 1970s, as well as Japanese Noh theatre have been inspiration for the new project. The show is in English with French subtitles.
