Jean Luc Vilmouth

The universe of Jean-Luc Vilmouth is deeply linked to the journey and to the discovery of new cultures as well as to the common links between man and the reality of the world. In 1996 and 1997, Vilmouth made several visits to Amazonia, Brazil and Venezuela. The exhibition Jungle Science reveals a direct link between past explorations and the preoccupations of our current world faced with questions concerning the environment. Made up of memories from the trip, the exhibition offers fragments of a dying Amazon at the moment of rampant globalisation; where the Amazonian forest is disappearing as fast as the ancestral cultures of its regions.
