This is the opening of Almendra's exhibition Killed in Action (Case Study Houses).
The programme of Case Study Houses was an architectural experiment which aimed to construct modern, functional and economically viable housing. It began on the west coast of America, mainly around Los Angeles, between 1945 and 1966 and constitutes one of the most important architectural programmes of the 20th century. Wilfred Almendra uses this model as a starting point in order to question the future residences of modernist utopia.
