Natacha Nisic delivers a tale of a trip taken in the north of Japan in search of an inaccessible territory destroyed by the earthquake of June 2008 and measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale.

Presented mainly as an installation with three screens functioning alternatively as a 4 minute looped musical score. A mountain is ripped open in a matter of seconds –under the violent seismic shock. This “open wound” is both beautiful and desolate. The artist asks what can become of this place –why not an ecopark to attract tourists. Through video and photography the artist explores her own memories of the event and presents a document of a terrible moment in time.
