Niele Toroni / Charles Sandison

As one quarter of the 1966/1967 critical group BMPT, Niele Toroni and his accomplices attacked traditional modes of painting and drew new boundaries for the act of representation, bringing painting in line with minimal and conceptual art. Toroni is still faithful to his mode of creativity - the conception remains more important than the final representation.

Charles Sandison uses computer technology to produce poetry, creating a new vocabulary from algorithms and software, each work adapted to the venue of it's exhibition.
