Robyn Orlin

Robyn Orlin, south African choreographer and performance artist well known for reflecting the difficult and complex realities in her country, returns with her new creation, in collaboration with hip hop artist Ibrahim Sissoko, a dancer and choreographer who went from graffiti to rap before he discovered dancing in 1992.

Together with video director Philippe Lainé and graphic artist Maxime Rebière who, as the show unfolds, sketches and draws, Orlin question the 2005 civil unrest in France and city violence. This is where Robyn Orlin’s vocation is at its best: in getting together to investigate the realities found here and elsewhere.
