A performance by Canadian cellist
Julia Kent, who has worked with
Anthony and the Johnsons,
Devendra Banhart,
Rufus Wainwright,
Stars of the Lid and
Teddy Thompson to name a few of her collaborations.
Kent build sometimes complex and thick, sometimes light-as-air textures by sampling and looping the sound of her 'cello, resulting in entrancing, organic pieces exploring the full range of sounds available from the instrument.
She's joined tonight by the multi-talented
Isidore Gyr.
