Soul Spektrum: Trus'Me

Written 30 January

Friday 22 January, 23:00
Djoon, 75013 [map]
Trus Me, Emile Omar, Radio Salah

Anyone familiar with Trus me's first album "Working Nights" understands the gravity of this producer. Launched to notoriety in 2007 with a string of explosive 12"s, the Manchester producer quickly garnered support from Gilles Peterson, Karizma, Carl Craig, Benji B, Mad Mats, Jazzanova and anyone else lucky enough to get their hands on a copy.

Skip to 2010, and Trus'me's new album "In The Red" (featuring Dam Funk, Amp Fiddler, Paul Randolph and Pirahnahead) is solidifying his rep. Think historically demonstrative early 90's Hacienda with the emotivity of disco, hypotics of cosmic Italo and the rootsiness of a dusty funk 45 and you're getting close.
