London label Moshi Moshi have released music from
Hot Chip,
Bloc Party,
The Rakes,
Hot Club De Paris and
Au Revoir Simone amongst others, but tonight they're presenting some new team members.
The Wave Pictures are a London based trio. Crossing Kinks-style pop with bluesy jams reminiscent of the Silverjews and almost Bowie-esque melodic pop, the group are half way through a 2-record deal with Moshi Moshi, having released previously on 4AD as well as their own label.
Also featuring this evening: the infectiously danceable electro-folk of James Yuill and the good-time electrobreakbeat of Breakbot.
