For her first solo exhibition at Dominique Fiat Gallery,
Eva Nielsen presents new works from various series of works in progress, dealing with imaginary landscapes and inventories of places. Along with other paintings, they form a common landscape of stunning places, on the surface, free from humans. The artist has taken photographs in the South of France and Spain, sketches in her notebook (of Parisian suburb playgrounds), and collates images she finds (press photos) using these elements to paint and create works sketched in advance.
