The Jeu de Paume, La Monnaie de Paris and la Médiathèque de l’architecture et du patrimoine pay homage to
Willy Ronis through an exhibition of over 150 photographs. 2010 marks the centenary of the birth of Willy Ronis. For Ronis, photography was not an end in itself but a means of expressing his own experience of social realities that surrounded him. Whether street photography, photographing in a factory, in nature or intimate surroundings, his photographs make up a profound collection of moments that span the whole of his career and highlight his own version of the real.
