The Fleshtones

Isn't it strange what you find in the basement? In 1976 Keith Streng and Jan-Marek Pakulski found a bunch of musical instruments in theirs, and decided to form a band, playing their first gig at CBGB. Closely associated with The Cramps (they used to share a rehearsal space), Real Kids and Television, their mashup of surf, rockabilly, garage-rock and 60's R&B (a blend they like to refer to as "Super Rock") has graced labels such as Red Star, I.R.S. and Yep Roc over the past thirty years. 2008's Christmas treat "Stocking Stuffer" is, frankly, awesome... particularly their fuzzy cover of Rolf Harris' "Six White Boomers".
