The Catherine Putman gallery presents work by French artist Pierre Buraglio, entitled " J1 Vo l 3 . . ." .

"J1 Vol 3" is the new part of an illustrated diary that the artist began in 2004.
“What is it about ? Very young children between 1940 and 1947, their ration card. About myself, consequently… These are drawings, photos, texts, with pigment prints and gouache highlights…”

"J1 Vol 3" (2010) is a portfolio made of 14 prints, highlighted with watercolours... These prints deal with the themes of childhood and of France during the war. Two prints and some original drawings will be exhibited, as well as the two previous part of the illustrated diary : "J1 Vol 1" (2004) and "J1 Vol 2" (2005). In these three portfolios, Pierre Buraglio drew, cut, and collated images - his house, his father’s car, banks of the river Marne - and words - onomatopoeia, soldiers voices, children words…
