Les Duos éphémères are a “coming together” of musicians, chosen by a personality from the music scene with gems from the cinematographic archives being brought to life by the energy of this new music collective.

Laurent Garnier in 2006,
Vincent Ségal in 2007,
Arthur H in 2008, Matthieu Chedid curates this season’s Duos éphémères. For ten years and since his debut album Le Baptême (1997), M-Matthieu Chedid- demonstrates an ever increasingly rich artistic world, bringing together poetry and humour. Over five evenings the Louvre has invited him to curate musical accompaniment to the cinema of
Georges Méliès with musicians of his own choosing. Friday’ choice is:

Hubert Blanc-Francard and Co
From lunar eclipses and inter-stellar journeys, the moon has inspired early cinema and tonight inspires Hubert Blanc-Francard (aka Boombass) one half of Franco funk outfit
Cassius, and one of the best exponents of “French touch” electro.
