David Damoison, living and working in Paris, was born in 1963 to a Martinique father and a French mother. After photographic studies, he was an assistant to
Jean Larivière and at
Pin-Up Paris studios for several years before publishing his work in Revue Noire, Libération, l’Événement du Jeudi, Le Nouvel Observateur and Télérama. His images investigate Creole and African identity with humanism and intelligence.
