Formed in early 2007 by singer/guitarist Jess Scott,
Brilliant Colors are a trio of veteran Bay Area punk characters who make fuzzy, wistful, hook-laden punk-pop filled with faultless song arrangements and DIY charm. They neatly avoid most easy pigeonholes, turning dream-pop when you expect them to go noisy and throwing out sudden crunching guitar attacks when you thought they were about to play it calm.
