Due Amici

Written 30 January

Théâtre du Rond Point, 75008 [map]

Directed by Francesco Sframeli and Spiro Scimone and based on the play "Nunzio" also by Spiro Scimone the film tells the tale of the changing friendship of two men who share a house in the suburbs of a large, industrial city: Nunzio is naive and suffers continuously from a terrible cough that he never treats; the hard-edged Pino is gradually revealed to be an assassin.

Over time Nunio's innocence begins to affect Pino - who starts to turn down assignments to nurse his friend. The fictional world of Scimone and Sframeli is a strange, sometimes comic and dark one.
