Vernissage of a new exhibition of images by South African photographer
David Goldblatt at the Marian Goodman Gallery. With a career spanning sixty years, Goldblatt has earnt the esteem of both documentary and art worlds through his documentation of the social and political development of his native land. Of particular note is his work on the period of Apartheid - and his assertion that conditions for those living on or below the bread line in South Africa have not improved in the years since that time.
