This is the first event in this week's big news story, the grand opening of La Gaîté Lyrique, a very promising institution indeed.
The new project opens it's doors to the public for the first time at 2pm today, with the opening of their ongoing productions and events -
United Visual Artists present their multimedia piece "Rien a cacher, rien a craindre",
I Could Never Be A Dancer launch the first in a series of dance performances this week and the video game installation "Des sauts dans l’Histoire" covers the history of gaming. All those are ongoing this week, same times every day - check the site for schedules.
Later in the evening there's congotronics from the awesome
Konono n°1, pioneering stuff from LA experimental duo
Lucky Dragons and oddball electronica from
Mekanik Kantatik.
At 9pm there's the week's first performance of the interactive theatrical piece "Best Before" by the
Rimini Protokoll collective.
