An all star party to mark the release of 33hz's new EP "I Feel Alive". Ever since the release of their self-titled debut album in 2005, 33hz have been causing a sizeable stir. Their nu-funk style mashup of Prince, ESG, superslick NYC hip hop production values and original disco-not-disco attitude have fired them into the limelight. With recordings on Fluokids label Foolhouse amongst others, they're definitely in the right place at the right time.
Backing up 33hz tonight will be the reknowned Zdar/Boombass duo Cassius, true legends of the Parisian scene who I need not introduce, I'm sure; and The Shoes, electro kids of the moment and remixers extraordinaire. Check their mixes of Hadouken's "Leap of Faith" and Santogold's "Lights Out" to get an idea.
