It's a two part thing tonight at our new house (seriously, can we move in?) featuring some very attractive live music earlier on and a stupidly good DJ lineup at the late session. So, here's the plan: get down here about five thirty, join the (probably massive) queue to see the inimitable
Deerhunter alongside
Nelson (the French band, not the poodle-chopped soft rock duo),
Lower Dens and
Gallops; head up to Strasbourg St Denis for pizza and beers; head straight back down for the flawlessly programmed beat-fest starting at 11:30 - bass from
Jamie xx, prog-hop from
Bullion, balearic rave from
D/R/U/G/S and ridiculous party smashing action from
Fool House. Then more pizza. Then back to La Gaîté to climb into our sleeping bags. Seriously, can we? I'm not even kidding.
