One of the most distinctive voices in jazz sax graces the Cité de la Musique this evening - Steve Coleman. Rising to prominence in the 80's with his Five Elements, Coleman's heavy, syncopated afro/jazz/funk sound has shaped generations of players and had a weighty input into the development creative, avant-garde black music.
