Toro Y Moi exploded into a feverish blogosphere in 2009 with his hauntological pop constructions, all pumping compressors and dreamy synths phasing underneath his strikingly honest vocals. This year his output has veered towards a sort of Brian Wilson-esque beat style, but with no complaints here. The new stuff takes a few listens, but it's as crafted as the first record once you get into it...
