The band that arguably gave birth to the modern noise-rock genre as we know it lands at La Maroquinerie. Born from the NYC art scene in the 80's along with bands like Sonic Youth, Swans (lead by the prophetic Michael Gira) went on to develop a musical vocabulary which has become common parlance for noise acts, metal bands, shoegazers and experimental electronica artists alike.
