Wednesday 18 February, 20:00 Nouveau Casino, 75011 [map] Dananananaykroyd, Bear Hands and Porcelain
The Nouveau Casino's "Custom" party brings us a belter of a lineup this evening, highly recommended for indie/pop/alt fans.
First up, the joyful noise of Glasgow band Dananananaykroyd, whose self named "fight-pop" is a sonic hit straight to the soul - chaotic, uplifting, explosive and slightly insane. Fresh from their tours with Foals and Johnny Foreigner, their live shows are a sight and sound to behold.
Next, Brooklyn experimental indie-rock four piece Bear Hands keep the mood high and the sounds noisy with their disco-tinged high-impact guitar tracks. If you like Maracas and funk with your post-punk, this is the band for you.
Last up is Porcelain, the pop rock brainchild of Australian François Barriet, who have toured with such indie luminaries as Arab Strap and Tahiti 80. Their new album "Adios Betty" is out in April - in the meantime check their 2004 record "Me and my famous lover" for a taster.
