Fleet Foxes have had a pretty successful last 12 months, their CSNY-esque string and vocal harmony style pervading almost every corner of the globe. Now signed to Sub Pop and Bella Union, their eponymous debut album exploded last year with near perfect reviews from Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and Metacritic.
Supporting tonight are Canadian experimental folk-pop band
The Acorn, whose "Glory Hope Mountain" release drew deserved attention during 2008. Heavily worked lyrics and rich instrumentation - marimba, percussion, gut-strings, ukeleles - contribute to their intricate blend of modern and traditional forms.
