Since 1999, Gens d’images awards the prix Arcimboldo which encourages young creators from all over by offering them a new visibility and the means to pursue their projects. For its 10th year, le Musée du Montparnasse and Gens d’images are organising an exhibition which brings together a selection of past winners’ work- initial creations to present day projects. Since 1999 this award has been opened to both fine art as well as digital photography. The range of work includes
Catherine ikam, pioneer of new technologies, Christophe Clark and Virginie Pougnard (2000),
Nicole Tran Ba Vang and her “habits de nudité” (2001), Jean-Baptiste Barret and his universe peopled with fanciful figures (2002) to czech plasticien Tom Drahos (2003). Florian Schneider (2004); Patrick Fournial and his suburban explorations (2005), Nicolas Moulin (2006) and his anxiety provoking vision of the city to the subversive and disturbing “baby dolls” of
Alain Delorme (2007) as well as multimedia creation from the latest winner Jean-François Rauzier (2008)
