Written 30 January

Tuesday 03 March, 20:30
LE CUBE - ART3000, 92130 [map]

From Golem to Frankenstein’s monster, from Capek’s robots to Cameron’s terminator, from Kubrick’s computer to the Matrix’s agent Smith, artificial creatures have always peopled are imagination and fed our fascinations and fears. They are very much part of our lives- from robot dogs and virtual heroes of video games to computer viruses and artificial intelligence.
For this conference, Jean-claude Heudin retraces the history of artificial creatures. The current trends and views will be considered: will robots invade our lives? Will we all become cyborgs? Are we going to be able to create life?

Jean Claude Heudin is the author of numerous scientific articles at international level as well as several works in the field of complex science and artificial intelligence.
