This Is The Kit has been slowly gathering a loyal fanbase for a little while now. It's close-miked, beautifully played folk-pop at it's best, with touches of
Beth Orton,
Suzanne Vega and
Cocorosie. Stables's voice is honest and affecting, celtic inflections decorating the flighty melodies, whilst the guitar playing is simple but effective.
