Locksley have a lot to live up to: Billboard Magazine's "Hot New Artist", twice MTV "Featured Artist of the Week", one of Rolling Stone's "top 25 bands on MySpace"... the pressure is on! The band don't seem to have a problem wih this, though - their blistering live performances have gained them as many fans as their good press.
Eugene McGuinness's sense of humour is essential to his joyful, quirky and charming output. The wry unpredictability of the scenarios described in his songs are reflected in the musical structure, which twists and turns itself into joyous, surprising and thoroughly enjoyable pop.
Completing the lineup is Swedish singer/songwriter
Melpo Mene, whose extremely laid back Americana- influenced folk mixes with that naive pop sound commonly associated with northern Europe to form a Bon Iver-esque musical nerve tonic.
