Widely credited with the invention of Toytronica (electronic music made by adapting and arranging the sounds made by toys),
Psapp's brand of quirky electronics is as irresistable as it is original. The duo have been ploughing their distintly different pop furrow since 2003, but their live element has only really come to full strength over the last couple of years. Full strength it is, though - their multi-instrumental approach and wicked sense of humour ensures a lively show. Prepare to have toy cats thrown at you.
Backing Psapp up tonight will be the theatrical Bush-esque (Kate, not George) operatics of
Alice Lewis, the spacey krautrock of
Viva & The Diva and the eclectic pop blend of
Dondolo.
