David Byrne

The maverick of surreal pop is back on the road, following last year's reunion with Brian Eno which resulted in the album "Everything That Happens Will Happen Today".

Post- Talking Heads, David Byrne has been a potent force - whether turning the Battery Maritime Building (a 99-year-old Manhattan ferry terminal) into a musical instrument, designing bike racks for Brooklyn and NYC or through his solo works (2004's "Grown Backwards" is particularly refined). His film, photography and web-based work is no less dynamic, and Oscars, Grammies and Golden Globes have all reared their heads in his career.

Not to be missed.
