Mono make densely layered, guitar based instrumental music, often featuring piano and strings, always powerful and emotive. Formed ten years ago, the band have released a string of consistently high quality albums, culminating in arguably their best work yet - this year's "Hymn To The Immortal Wind". It's a truly epic record, all soaring peaks and intimate lows, monumental arrangements and sparse soundscapes.
