Les Colporteurs

Under one roof for the first time, seven unique and talented tight rope walkers, accompanied by the trio Wildmimi Antigroove Syndicate, perform a musical dance show in the air. After having been a tight rope walker for 20 years, director Rigot had an injury which meant he could no longer continue on the wire. After the accident, many young performers asked him to show them what he had learned throughout his career. Through this time as mentor he regained his desire to create, and his creation Le Fil Sous la Neige was born. Making contemporary circus history, it is a piece for seven tight rope walkers, perched on eight wires of varying heights, and three musicians. Rigot says "the wire demands an unrelenting effort of concentration and solitude. By spinning several wires I realized that the artists could turn, descend, rise up and meet one another".

Highly recommended.
