Body-Scan

Written 30 January

Sunday 29 March, 17:00
Centre Pompidou, 75004 [map]
Benoît Lachambre, Su-Feh Lee

Choreographer, interpreter, performer and teacher, the Canadian Benoît Lachambre danced for Marie Chouinard, Meg Stuart and Jennifer Lacey before founding his own company in 1996. Mixing dance, improvisation, performance and visual arts, his work aims to allow the individual to mirror our own frames of mind. Faithful to this aim, Body-Scan, in collaboration with Robert Flynt and Su-Feh Lee, the latter being a practitioner of traditional dances from Malaysia and Java, contemporary dance and qi gong, explores the human body and its permeability to history, memory and desire. A project where a circular mode of communication is defined by the transfer of multisensorial forces from one individual to the other, where touch and sense are in constant dialogue and choreography moves through improvisation.
