CONCERT

Cocorosie

Written 30 January

Friday 10 April, 20:30
Centre Pompidou, 75004 [map]

Two one-of-a-kind evenings: a staged encounter between the fashion designer Gaspard Yurkievich, the stage designer Nadia Lauro and the North American group CocoRosie.

Cocorosie was founded in 2003 by sisters Bianca and Sierra Casady. Sierra had a rich and varied musical background whilst growing up. For transhumance she explores the possible exchange between classical, folk and world music. Jazz pianist Gaël Rakotondrabe accompanies Cocorosie whilst Bianca, with a background in contemporary art and exhibitions in New York and Europe, provides video.

Nadia Lauro works in the realm of contemporary dance and architecture. She has worked with such choreographers as Jennifer Lacey, Vera Mantero, Benoît Lachambre, Latifa Laâbissi, and Barbara Kraus. Finally, fashion designer Gaspard Yurkievich, experimental in style, provides the glamorous costumes for this evening’s performance.
