Natural Self is the ongoing project of crate-digging hip hop afficionado Nathaniel Pearn. Much in demand both as DJ (check his
Breakin' Bread mix CD "The Ritual") and remixer (he has reworked tracks for
Nicole Willis,
Quantic,
Elizabeth Shepherd,
Abdominal), Pearn's last long player "
The Art Of Vibration" spans hip hop, disco funk, latin and electro to form a solid body of danceable but clever music. Check "In The Morning" for the man at his best, but be prepared to miss the point on your laptop speakers - it's all about the bass.
Erik Rug has been a solid pillar of French house music for twenty years.
Rex club resident Rug has recorded under his own name as well as operating as
Daphreephunkateerz, Low Tone Priority, Tomy Lobo and WaxWorx, and continues to make a valid contribution to the Gallic dance music scene.
