50 years after the original film directed by Alain Resnais and based on a novel by Marguerite Duras, the showing of "Hiroshima mon amour" opens a programme of Japanese films filmed between 1952-1959 and an exhibition of unseen photographs from Hiroshima, taken by Emmanuelle Riva at the time of filming. For the occasion of the release of "Tu n’as rien vu à Horishima" (Edition Gallimard) around 40 photos will be shown between 14th to 18th April

« Of course I haven’t forgotten the tragedy, the entire town destroyed, the inhabitants burnt. But I wanted to simply go out and take photos of daily life. A feeling carried me through. I walked all through the town and felt excited; I took tens of photos every step. I was carried by my emotion » Emmanuelle Riva
