Erik Truffaz - Murcof - Talvin Singh

Erik Truffaz, born in 1960 in Switzerland, is a Swiss-born French contemporary jazz trumpeter, infusing elements of hip hop, rock and roll and dance music into compositions. He is best known for his improvised style of playing, having signed with the French EMI label in 1996. Truffaz gained international attention for his second album on Blue Note. Murcof was founded in 2001 by Fernando Corona in Tijuana, México. His project is very much about experimenting with electronic and classical music in their more minimalistic expressions. The two are joined by Talvin Singh, whose first album has just been reissued on Chilly Media. Tonight’s event goes hand in hand with the release of the collaborative EP by Truffaz and Murcof.
