Papercuts, Thee Stranded Horse, Ballaké Sissoko

Papercuts' new album "You Can Have What You Want" is the newest phase in Jason Quever's ongoing pop investigations. Often featured as a guest artist with Vetiver, Beach House and Skygreen Leopards, Quever is an analogue purist - not a single computer generated or processed sound apears on the album. The collection of addictive, dreamy pieces explores epic, hazy pop using mostly vintage organs, pulsing bass & Kraut-via-Ringo-inspired drum rhythms.

Support act Thee, Stranded Horse is the solo project of Yann Tambour (of Encre fame). Though his accomplished Kora playing is still key to the sound, more song based structures have been adopted on his 2007 album on Blank Tapes, "Churning Strides".
