MOBO Award-nominated London grime crew
Roll Deep were formed in 2002 with the lineup of
Wiley,
Flow Dan,
Target, Bubbles, and Breeze, though the members list has since expanded and at various times has featured
Skepta,
J2K, Manga,
Killa P and
Dizzee Rascal, amongst others.
Most familiar of the crew is probably Wiley - considered by many to be 'the godfather of grime'. Before the chart smashing "
Wearing My Rolex" (you all know this one, sing along) Wiley enjoyed success both on
Big Dada Recordings (see "Playtime Is Over") and his own label Eskibeat Recordings in 2007.
