The second of our featured events from the Femmes s'en Mêlent series. Clare & The Reasons are a seven piece NYC group specialising in emotive, intense and intimate music. Plucked strings and lush mini-orchestral textures form a serene background to the sweet vocal harmonies of Clare Muldaur's backing band, whilst over the top floats her own, knee-bucklingly expressive voice.
Joining The Reasons this evening will be Swedish acoustic singer-songwriter
Frida Hyvönen, whose recent re-emergence heralds a new solo album. Far removed from the sparse and direct first record, the new work "Silence is Wild" is richly orchestrated and lush.
