For almost ten years, Jean-François Leclercq has been conducting a photographic project, with many musicians, based on the hand as instrument. His work has progressively moved towards the body movements of conductors and to meetings with numerous maestros (
Boulez, Rattle,
Ozawa) both in France and further a field, as well as up and coming stars like
Gustavo Dudamel and
Lionel Bringuier. He has been working above all with the maestro
Myung-Whun Chung, the current musical director of the philharmonic orchestra at Radio France. This is a chance to discover more about his work
