Rencontres sous les tentes sahariennes

The exhibition "Desert Camp, Rencontres sous les tentes sahariennes", offers the public a moment in an imaginary encampment in the heart of the Sahara desert. The central theme being the nomadic habitat, with participating photographers, filmmakers and researchers aiming to transmit to the public their findings with the desert people. On their routes, all have been welcomed warmly by the Touaregs, the Fula, and Tubus in places as diverse as Mali, Nigeria, Tchad, Mauritania, and Algeria.

Their works reproduce artistically this nomad hospitality, and make the viewer question the strengths and fragility of these cultures, and the intelligence of their habitat. There will also be several cultural events, round tables, conferences, and private concerts taking place as part of this exhibition.
