Paris Social Club, 75002 [map]
Simian Mobile Disco, Bo'tox, Jacques Renault, Cosmo Vitelli

Risen from the ashes of the awesome and forever under-rated Simian, James Ford and Jas Shaw continue to bounce people around large club rooms worldwide. Originally rooted in their DJ gigs while Simian were on tour, the mobile disco developed to eventually survive the band. Simian's record company decided to launch a competition for bedroom acts to remix the Simian track 'Never Be Alone'. A then unknown French production duo called Justice entered and, famously, didn't win.

A few releases on Kitsuné and Im A Cliché later, and the duo are producing, remixing and gigging at a very serious level - James currently "makes the magic happen" for Mystery Jets, Klaxons and Arctic Monkeys.

SMD are joined this evening by NYC/Chicago disco driving force Jacques Renault, I'm A Cliché artist Bo'tox and label boss Cosmo Vitelli.
