Black Dice, Fred Nipi, Arnaud Rivière, Opera Mort

Formed during the spring of 1997 in Providence, Rhode Island as a loud, chaotic mix of early eighties-sounding thrash and harsh noise experimentation, Black Dice have gone on to be recognised as one of the most influential and pioneering bands in the genre - a recognition evident in their history of recordings through DFA, EMI and Animal Collective's Paw Tracks label. Early shows seldom lasted more than 15 minutes and were characterized by violent performances where injuries were often sustained by band and audience alike - the current live show is considerably longer and the soundscape more detailed.
