Rodolphe Huguet’s art consists in a poetic pragmatism involving a spirit of “making do”. Making do with the world and its inhabitants. Making do with the thrill of brainwaves, inventiveness and improvisation. Making do with dreams and strokes of luck. Making do with life.
Rodolphe Huguet’s derives his work from the worlds of industrial consumption which he looks upon with a critical eye. He ends up with an anti-product, an alternative to the uniformity of mass consumerism. The artist’s plastic and visual sense lies in his ability to invent forms which come from reality. His activity is a bridge which links human beings and cultures
