This double exhibition « d’un côté // l’autre » allows the visitor to travel between two artistic spaces. The installation video “un work in progress” is composed of 111 sequences filmed during the artist’s travels which submerge us in a myriad of frozen images and repetitive gestures set to the hypnotic rhythm of manual workers. Mirroring this piece are photographs taken by the artist in Asia and in North Africa where she photographed everyday life in the street. François Daireaux is described as a pilgrim artist, in her movements and meetings with different cultures she understands human activity in its traditional sense, a tradition often obscured and folklorised.
